Dear friends,
I am very grateful for all the support and encouragement I have received from my family, my campaign staff, my volunteers, and the Democratic clubs that endorsed me. Thank you.
Though this campaign has come to a close for me, I will continue to pour my heart and soul into working to register voters and elect Democrats across Texas. I’ll be in the trenches for the Travis County Coordinated Campaign, and you’ll see me at the State Convention in Houston two weeks from now.
Between now and November 6, 2012, we have our work cut out for us. Please, research the candidates who are in the July 31st runoff election, and challenge your friends and families to do the same. Right now, what’s important is for you to decide which candidate best represents your ideals and your hopes for our community, and to support them. Travis County had a 7.12% turnout, and I know we can do better.
